St Ann and Joachim Ndumberi Self Help Group was started in the year June 1997 .The first Annual General Meeting was held in March 1998 by then the organization had registered a membership of 246 with a share capital of 1.2 million

PROVISION OF LOANS TO MEMBERS
The shareholders that qualify for a loan are those that have been saving consecutively for the last six months. One qualify for a loan that is equal to 3 times their shares, where one is expected to get other shareholders to guarantee them for any amount that exceed their shares . Time taken to make the repayment of the loan depends on type of loan .

Our AGMs are held annually.
Loans may be granted up to a maximum of three times the member’s available savings, both for individuals and corporate entities, with the requirement that the loan is fully guaranteed.
Boosted savings can be considered for loans after a four-month period from the deposit date.
Loans will be capped at 15% of the group’s total share capital and reserves.
Boosted savings refer to any contribution exceeding one-third of the member’s total savings at the time of the loan request.
